A generated beholder is one that is not quite what it is meant to be -- a beholder that is somehow less capable of killing than their cousins. Because they found it difficult to survive in Aden, they have come to live in Hidden Valley and Singing Island. Although they aren't as strong as other beholders in the world, they are good practice for new adventurers.
