Area Description

Within the Great Cavern are four separate regions: Ancient Giant Ruins Northeast, Ancient Giant Ruins Northwest, Recluse Village, and Resistance Village. To enter the Great Cavern, use any of the following options: 1. Speak to the Large Cave Teleporter NPC in the Diad Fortress when fortress is player-owned (teleports to Resistance Village).  NOTE: Dark Elves will need to polymorph before speaking to the NPC in order to receive teleport options! 2. Use Scroll of Teleportation - Large Cave (teleports to Resistance Village), Scroll of Return - Resistance Village (teleports to Resistance Village), or Scroll of Return - Recluse Village (teleports to Recluse Village). 3. Use the Abyss Lake Great Cavern Entrance. From the Resistance Village area, players may access the Oum Dungeon (one-way), the Ancient Giant Ruins Northeast, and (from the Northeast Ruins) the Sanctuary of Evil ONLY.  The Recluse, Ancient Giant Ruins Northwest, and Abyss Lake entrance areas are inaccessible from Resistance Village. From the Recluse Village area, players may access the Ancient Giant Ruins Northwest and the Great Cavern Abyss Lake Entrance ONLY.  The Resistance, Ancient Giant Ruins Northeast, and Sanctuary of Evil areas are inaccessible from Recluse Village. Random teleportation and bookmarking are not allowed in any of these areas.
